We pack all our cake stands in strong boxes with a lot of protection in order that they reach you in perfect condition. Each cake stand arrives dismantled, in a strong box, along with our ‘Little Cake Stand guide book’; a complete guide to assembling, looking after and enjoying your cake stand.

Post will either be through a courier of our choice or through the Royal Mail.Your order should be with you within 10 working days in the UK, and within 21 days internationally.
We will email you when your order will be dispatched.Payment must be in full through paypal before orders are dispatched.
Orders for bespoke cakestands using your own china can be paid by cheques or paypal - please contact us to discuss
You can cancel a purchase right up to the day before we dispatch the item. We'll mail you when the item is going to be dispatched.
If you don't like the cakestand when you receive it (which has never happened yet!) then you can send it back to us using the same level of postage that we have used. Please note you will be refunded the full amount for the cakestand, but not for the postage and packing that we used when we sent it to you, and you you will also be liable for the postage and packing for sending the item back to us.
Each cake stand is made with vintage china, which may have fading and light crackling in the glaze (which we think adds to the charm) but we select plates that have no chips or cracks. Inevitably, although we try to ensure our photos as close to the true colours of the cake stand as possible, there will be minor differences in colour.
Postage of these cakestands will take place as soon as we recieve your order, and should be with you in the Uk within 10 days, and internationally within 21 days. Please note that as we sell our cakestands at fairs around the country, there may be a case where the cake stand you choose is for sale on this site but has been sold already at a fair that day. We try to minimise these issues, but if this happens you can either choose another cakestand or alternatively we could try and source a version of the cakestand that you wanted, although you must be aware that each piece of china we source tends to be unique. Although we use trusted couriers or Royal Mail to deliver our cake stands, and pack them extremely well in a dismantled state, it is worth noting that as soon as they are shipped they become your responsibility for insurance and breakage purposes. In the unlikely event of a breakage occuring in transit we will try to replace the plate with a similar type of plate for you, but please note this is a gesture to make sure you are satisfied rather than a guarantee and may not be achievable due to the one off nature of the plates we source. Cakestand plates should not be placed in a dishwasher as they are vintage china, and should be hand washed carefully. We make no guarantee on the china ongoing as it could be decades old.
